The African Water and Sanitation Association (AfWASA) is a professional organization of water and sanitation sector actors. It was established in February 1980 out of the desire by some African water utility manager to pool their human, technical and financial resources and optimize the training of men and women in the sector to create synergy around the search for solutions to improve access to drinking water for people of Africa. With over 100 members from 40 countries in Africa, its members include NGOs, research institutions, utilities, academics and the private sector. Established in 1999, CGC Central-East Africa Branch is a professional civil engineering contractor responsible for marketing and business operations in Rwanda, Burundi and DR Congo with main business lines of construction of water supply projects, dam and agricultural irrigation works, wastewater treatment projects, hydropower plants, electric power projects, house building and road projects.
Target audience
The key target audience for the exhibition are the congress delegates, water professionals from across the full water cycle from more than 90 countries worldwide. In addition to the congress delegates, the exhibition will attract local, regional and international trade visitors. IWA expects over 3,500 participants from the global water sector.
